Safety First - Nederman Field Techs and Sales Get Certified

Employees from Nederman field service, field maintenance and sales organizations attended a series of safety education and training sessions over the past two weeks.

Field Service and Maintenance personnel completed the OSHA 30-Hour certification with the sales groups also attending for training in fall protection fitting and registration of safety harness and Tie off equipment.

Both the sales and maintenance teams also attended MSHA Confined Space training and both Pulmonary and Respirator fitting and testing.

Joe Lippard, Manager of Nederman Field Installations (former Navy Master Chief) commented: “my guys all talk to each other anyway, but it’s an even better benefit in group sessions as it opens up constructive dialog on events and hazards”.

Field Technician Tony Henderson, a 20+ year veteran technician said “I always look forward to the discussions during these trainings. We all share our experiences with customer projects and challenges.”

Robert Turner, presented information on the A B C’s of fire hazards and discussed various readily available methods for fire control. Robert spent 21 years in the Navy and served as Senior Chief Damage Control.

Nederman updates and certifies all employees who are expected to make plant visits to assure they are familiar with safety hazards and requirements.
